Hey,

It has been a few years, about 5. The last 5 years have been interesting. We have had 3 female exchange students: Clara from Germany, Chanmi from S.Korea, and Laura from Germany. We are going to Germany next month to see the two German girls. We got very bonded to the two German girls, and consider them daughters. How are things in Ft. Worth? How is your health? Blessings to you, Gary

Jim,'Glad to hear from you. It is hot today and will be all week. This is unusual for the Shenandoah Valley weatherwise. i saw the photos which Alicia posted. I remember maybe six people there. Summer is slow, but we are gettting ready for our exchange student from Germany. She is a partially 16 year old girl from Munich. Very smart. we volunteered for a blind student, since my wife is blind. My wife teaches Braille and has computers which talk. I just wish they could make espresso. Anyway, hot , hot, hot.

Never been to Ruidosa. I've heard good things. Is it desert or mountain?

Bob,
New Mexico is a great state. Santa Fe is one of my favorite places. Have you ever read John Nichols THE MILAGRA BEANFIELD WAR or THE MAGIC JOURNEY. Both are great and based in New Mexico.
I am up in the Blueridge Mountains today working-doing chemothery on a lady. This is my fourth workday this month. I can handle it. Do you know Alicia W. Brown? I had a bad crush on her back in high school.

Just take it easy with chf. Follow what the md says and it will save your life. Can you retire early on disability? I wrote Alicia that I could not make it to the Reunion, but I'll definitely try to make the big one in 2015.

I remember Sheila Hudson. She was a sweet gal. I think she had a crush on me for a while, but I was in puppy love with Gail Weatherall.
On June 5 I will be retired for one year. I retired early at 62 due to nerve damage to my legs. I worked as a Registered Nurse, and before that was a Navy Corpsman and lab tech. I preached a few years as well-about 3 full time.
Now I just work 4 days a month doing chemotherapy infusions. That is all Social Security will let me work till I turn 66. Oh well, life ain't bad. We have all we need and my old Jeep -1996 Cherokee is great. I put a new engine in it back in 2008.

The Gail I remember was Gail Weatherall.
Carolyn Brown went to Galveston Med School and married some guy named Cooper.
There was a nice gal named Sheila.
Did you know Vance Hobbs, Jackson Cobb, or Buddy Sprott. They bullied me from the 7th grade on. Hobbs was the worst.
Oh well, all that is over, though it was painful at the time.
I married a gal from Illinois named Faith Funk. We met in Indiana in 1981, got married and are still together. Never had any kids. How about you.

I was at 5444 Santa Barbara, you may have lived in the house directly behind me, and we jumped the fence. Did you know Jimmy Carter on Odom St. he was the one I had the fight with. What did you do after graduation?
