Nancy. Where to start. Yes, I went to the reunion and had a good time. There were almost none of our old "herd" there. Cameron said he was going to come and that gave me the courage to sign up, but life intervened, his schedule changed and he couldn't make it. I am glad to hear from you. I hoped that you might be able to make it. Your memory of the past is close (how many years ago was that anyway?).... I had a red 1966 GTO in college. In 1986 I bought one out of a kid's back yard and restored it to look just like my old '66. BTW Sam Watterson? Isn't he about 80 or something? But I digress. Carol and I have 3 kids. Kelly 36, David 34 and Sarah 32. Kelly has three children, David is still looking for Miss Perfect and Sarah has 3 children plus one in the oven. I worked at my auto supply for 30 years, but in the end the market changed dramatically and there just wasn't a place for a regular non chain auto supply anymore, so I closed it and bought two four plexes and a duplex to keep me out of trouble. So yes, I was a parts peddler and now Ive been promoted to slum lord. Two people that were there that haven't been mentioned are Lura Bennett and Marvin Rudd. Richard PS I tried to
hi, Nancy! Where were you? I was hoping to see you at the reunion. It was my first and it was great to see people from years ago. Add me as a friend on Facebook so I can keep up ( although I almost never post anything!) Nancy Carolyn Comfort Long and my email is nancyjtte@gmail.com.
Hi, Nancy! Yes, I went to the reunion, and to quote Paula whom I saw several times, it was indeed a HOOT! It was just great - and I thought we had more than 100 at Esperanza's Sat. night - it was packed. Richard King & I didn't dance on any tables this time, but he & Richard Kaempf did sit with us at dinner, along with Nancy, Dee, Tamara, Bonnie, Maria Sabido, Martha Lockridge, John Aldrich toname a few. Alicia & her committe are already planning the 50th, so start planning now. It was just so good to see all these people again, hear about their lives, children, grandchildren, retirements, etc. Are you on Facebook? Alot of us are & had re-connected before we all saw each other. My email address is shammond@comcast.net, & I'm on FB as Suzanne Adams Hammond. I'll send you some pictures of people if you send me your email address.! Suzanne
My goodness, you have a good memory! I did go to the reunion and it was a total hoot! It was my first AHHS reunion. I went to one other, a 20th yr TCU one. This was more fun. I went both nights and saw so many people I had often wondered about. The next one is 5 yrs from now and will be the 50th. I think you would get a big kick out of going if you can make it. There were over 100 people there. A fascinating experience on many levels. I'm so glad to hear from you and wish you well. Gotta go now. Love to you, Paula
Hi Nancy, How are you doing? Do you remember me from long ago? Seems like we knew each other even before high school, but I could be mistaken. Hope all is well.
